Benzoin is valued for its sweet, vanilla and balsamic notes. It is used as a fixative in the perfume industry, for instance, by Guerlain for Shalimar. Without benzoin, Papier d’Arménie would not have become what it is. Styrax grows in the forests in the Far East, particularly in the older parts of Laos, where it is still widely cultivated today. 3 stages of paper dying... I love it. Great concept, and protrayal. I think the glossy black was a great choice to have for this series of photographs. And you did a very good job with the lighting aswell. Absolutely wonderful.

However, in your description it says the little blurb about benzoin twice, just so you know.

Overall, great work! Keep it up.
